Hi, thanks for kind help!
I've a client who bought recently a restaurant, there were 2 Keenetic, Extra and Air, without password I needed to reset both of them and I built them again separately, as I don't know how it works the "master-slave Keenetic system", and forgive me, now I don't have time to experiment and test this technology. So I would kinldy ask you to help me configure quickly the routers, choosing the right settings (or showing me briefly the path to).
The first question is, how can I associate the routers and how the second one will spread the same WiFi SSIDs giving the WiFi roaming feature to the connected devices. I don't want (if possible) to reset the main first router (gateway to internet), I've read that I just need to reset the second and change the operating mode as Range Externder, is it enough?
First question) What about the IP address of the extender? It isn't necessary? All control will come from first router?
Second question) I would make a backup of the actual situation, in case of quick restore, On Management>System settingsI can find the button to save the config but not to load it, strange, how can I load a configuration?
Third question) What about the local LAN ports on the extender? WIll them comunicate with LAN ports of the first router?
Now another topic, the client whats to buy an authenticateing service for guests, considering there won't be added a second WAN cable, that can be obtained in two ways:
VLAN - the office WAN become a VLAN, and a second VLAN will be added for guests
VPN - a VPN server will be available for creating a second network, where to route the traffic from guest's SSID
4th question) both ways are available? I can see how to associate ethernet ports to a VLAN, but I can't see how to do that with WiFi segments. IN case of VPN I don't need to touch the eth ports, just associate to VPN the guests wifi, possible?
Thank you for clear me. Kindly don't answer with a link of "read theis guide", thank you!
