Issue with Assigning a Static IP for the Second Router in Access Point Mode

Hello,

I am experiencing an issue while setting up a second Keenetic router in access point mode.

Our configuration is as follows:

• The primary router operates with a LAN IP of 192.168.2.1 and is configured to serve the vless service (XKeen policy).
• The second router has been switched to access point mode to extend our Wi‑Fi coverage.

The problem arises when attempting to assign a permanent static IP to the second router. After switching to access point mode, the device displays a temporary IP for accessing the web interface, which must be entered from a specific range. However, using this range prevents me from simultaneously connecting to the primary router and accessing the Internet.

I have tried changing the IP via the LAN settings in the “My Networks” section and via the CLI (using commands such as configure and set), but none of these methods allow the changes to be saved – the web interface becomes unresponsive or returns an error, and the CLI commands are not recognized.

I also attempted to configure DHCP reservation on the primary router, but I cannot find the corresponding section in the interface.

In summary, my question is: How can I correctly assign a permanent static IP to the second router (access point) so that it remains in the same subnet as the primary router and allows me to simultaneously use the Internet through the primary router and manage the second router via its IP?

I would appreciate detailed instructions or recommendations for resolving this issue in our setup.
