Keenetic router doesn't try to connect to modem after boot.

Question

Posted (edited)

I hope the title isn't misleading.

Keenetic Router doesn't connect to WAN modem probably because modem turns on slower than the Keenetic router, maybe because it cannot be assigned an IP address or maybe even be detected at all at the time.

I need to reboot the Keenetic router in order to make it work after Asus modem properly boots.

This is becoming an issue because after a power outage both devices booting up at the same time and I need to reboot the Keenetic router to have internet because my Omni claims that there is nothing connected to WAN.

What is your ping check settings in wired or WISP?

What is your tapology? Lan to lan for accespoint or lan to wan for double nat routing.

I've tried Automatic and ICMP Echo (google and local IP). None of them work. But when I change a setting inside "Wired," I don't need to reboot the router. It starts working again. But when I don't touch it, I have no internet until I do something.

An Asus modem is getting internet via DSL and connected to Keenetic's WAN for double NAT. Asus has the 192.168.1.X pool and Keenetic has the 10.0.0.X.
