I used to be able to enter my Extra DSL modem KN-1211's web management portal via https, but now I cannot.
Official support replied that local access via https is not permitted.
Now, someone could justifiably tell me I wouldn't be permitted to touch other people on their secret parts, but I don't see what's wrong with entering my modem through its secret ports. Besides, I haven't found a single sentence to verify that reply from the technical support, not in the manual, not on discussions on forums like this one.
Is there anyone who can certifiably verify the reply I received, or anyone who can tell me the correct way to gain local access via https, without allowing remote access?
