Attention!

Keenetic provides no official support for third-party packages, such as Entware. If you have questions, comments, or suggestions, feel free to post them here.

Requirements

To start using Entware on Keenetic, you need:

A Keenetic router with a USB port (except Keenetic 4G) running NDMS 2.07 or higher
Either "File and printer sharing (SMB/CIFS protocols)", or "FTP server" component installed
The "Open Package support" component installed
A USB disk with an ext2/ext3/ext4 partition

Important: Keenetic should be connected to the Internet.

Installation instructions

Connect your USB storage to Keenetic
Share the ext2/ext3/ext4 partition via FTP or SMB/CIFS
Create the "install" directory
Copy the following archive to the "install" directory: EN_mipsel-installer.tar.gz ; for KN-2011 and KN-2111 - EN_mips-installer.tar.gz; for KN-2710 - EN_aarch64-installer.tar.gz
Go to the Keenetic web interface: "Applications » OPKG", check "Enable", select the USB drive, and click "Apply"

Wait for the following message in the system log:

"... installer: [5/5] Entware installed!"

Further steps

Connect to the Keenetic by SSH (login/password: root/keenetic) (if installed component "SSH server", connect to the port 222)

Update package list

opkg update

For example, install midnight commander

opkg install mc

i trying "EN_mipsel-installer.tar.gz" install getting "error cannot execute binary file: Exec format error."

Your device with CPU on MIPS (Big Endian) architectures, so You must use the mipssf-k3.4 repository only. Installer for Your device is here (in Russian), in English will be later.

but it could not start autoatically (as service) after restart.

How can I write "zerotier-one -p9993 &" line startup (like rc.local or service)

How to make this script for pyhton application?

Vitaliy's grafana monitoring works perfectly, if Keenetic is collector. He shared a script included nohup (background execute) but it does not start at boot. need to manually execute;

It cannot be any other password. You can change it after logging in if you want.

Hello. Can we plug a USB sound card into a Viva model router and listen to music with a speaker? open wrt can do that. As far as I know, opkg can be installed on viva. but despite following the steps shown on the open wrt site, I couldn't get it to run due to some missing packages. Can you help me on this issue?

@guney guney - you need to add USB Audio kernel modules on General Settings -> Components Confihuration page.

In case your usb audio is supported by these components you will need to

1. install (lsmod) kernel modules

2. install Entware package with audio player and try if this will work.

Hi Zyxmon. Thanks for answer.

Can you give some more details? For example, where can I get the (lsmod) kernel module and install it? Another problem I have is that I am trying to do the installation steps specified on the web page of the ympd player via ssh, but the installation does not happen. Since I am a basic user, I guess I don't know some important tricks.

Nope:( Unless you've got two partitions for Entware deployment and ability to switch between them.
