PPPOE Ethernet: Difficulties with re-connection

Question

Posted (edited)

My router is connected via Ethernet (Fibre Media Converter). The Internet connection is established via PPPOE. But if the provider changes the IP address or I restart the PPPOE connection. Then the connection is (often) not re-established. See the logs. Only unplugging the Ethernet connection leads to a new connection and it works. What could be the cause?

One more information: The Internet is a pure IPv6 network. The IP4 address is obtained via IPV6 (dual stack). It is running. Both IP addresses are accessible. My Router is Kennetic Hero. With version 4.1.7. I tested with 4.2 too. The same problem.

It is an operator's equipment issue. KeeneticOS has a feature that restarts the underlying ethernet port automatically after 5 PADO timeouts in a row. This feature is enabled by default.

You are welcome to share your ideas on how to improve it.

Thank you so much. I will watch it. If I buy a Hero with SFP connector and a Fibre SFP module, would solve this problem?
